FN hotelaria participated in the 2024 edition of the conference organized by FCSI - Foodservice Consultants Society International, the world's largest association of industrial kitchen consultants and designers.
As in previous FCSI EAME (Europe, Africa and Middle East) events, this edition brought together, in Zurich, Switzerland, excellent speakers around a set of pertinent and timely subjects for the sector.
The acronym EARTH adopted for the 2024 edition represents the main themes and challenges addressed:
- E – economy, which emphasizes the critical role of finances;
- A – agriculture, which highlights the importance of farming and food sources;
- R – recruitment, which addresses the issue of workforce;
- T – time, which emphasizes the efficiency in equipment world;
- H – health, which represents well-being in this industry.
We had the opportunity to participate in several sessions, conversations and debates regarding the need to stabilize food and inflation, to make the industry more attractive as a long-term career, and to adopt sustainable practices in agriculture and to assume environmental responsibility in industry in general.
From October 17th to 20th, this was a journey of inspiration and innovation that allowed the discussion of other aspects related to hotel industry such as:
- the art of creating unique spaces;
- the essential role of financial planning;
- regenerative food systems;
- the importance of attracting and retaining talent;
- the new generations of hospitality professionals and how they are transforming the industry;
- promoting health and well-being through innovative food systems.
FCSI demands from its members the highest levels of experience, professionalism and ethics and continuous updating at the Foodservice industry level. This association already has 1000 members in more than 35 countries and is the only organization in this sector.
FN hotelaria was the first Portuguese company to become a member of FCSI - Foodservice Consultants Society International.
