Open since October 1st, Madeira's newest 5-star hotel was officially inaugurated last week.
The former Quinta do Lorde (opened in 2013), 11 years later, gives way to Dreams Madeira Resort, an 'all inclusive' resort with 366 rooms, now under the Dreams brand and debuting the Hyatt Group's Inclusive Collection in Portugal.
The luxury of tranquility that our island offers represents a differentiating factor that largely reinforces the offer of this international hotel chain. The promise of an “unlimited luxury” experience is also based on the premium positioning that is transversal to the hotel’s decoration, amenities and features. Dreams Madeira Resort seeks to stand out from the rest of the ‘all inclusive’ offering available in our Region. Some of the services available to guests are, for example, a 24-hour concierge and unlimited access to gourmet restaurants and bars, among many others.
The architecture maintains the connection with local culture, the decoration is “warm, bright and fresh”, transforming the various buildings into elements of a village with 4 swimming pools, spa (to be opened in 2025), 7 restaurants, 5 bars, exclusive areas for children and teenagers with entertainment appropriate to their respective ages, and the possibility of access to the beach and the sea. More than 3 hundred employees guarantee exceptional service.
FN hotelaria was the company selected by the Hyatt Group to provide consultancy and technical assistance services in the development of hotel equipment spaces and was the company responsible for supplying and installing hotel equipment for the numerous areas related to foodservice: buffets, show cooking zones, kitchens, pantries, bars, cold storage facilities, staff cafeteria and storage rooms.
Regarding HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), FN hotelaria was in charge of consulting and developing the project for the adaptation of the existing installation, as well as carrying out the remodeling of the HVAC installations in the different areas of this hotel unit. Some of this work is still ongoing and the spa is scheduled to open in January 2025, moment at which we will share the work carried out in greater detail.
It was a privilege for us to collaborate with the Hyatt Group, because it is an international reference brand in the hotel sector, because of the challenge of meeting its demands and expectations, and because it is the project that revived the old Quinta do Lorde, a hotel with which we have been working since its opening.
