We offer our congratulations to the winners of the most recent edition of the Michelin Guide!
To all the winners, our congratulations. Your talent, dedication and creativity are inspiring. We couldn't be more proud to see them recognized!
For this distinction, we naturally address some special congratulatory notes, particularly to those who stood out in this edition:
- to Chef Octávio Freitas and the Desarma team, for winning the first star in the restaurant's first year of activity, and for their ability to show that “you don't need to leave Madeira [...] [to] have a beautiful career, with regional products” (in Diário de Notícias Madeira);
- to Sála, Chef João Sá and his team, awarded the first Michelin star;
- to Chef Vítor Matos, from 2Monkeys, who also won a star;
- to Chef Santiago Anolles and Chef Alcino Marques, responsible for the new Horta restaurant, from PortoBay Group, which is now on the list of spaces recommended by the Michelin Guide;
- to Chef Marco Almeida, who sees his O Palco also becoming part of the Michelin Guide's list of recommendations;
- to Sommelier Leonel Nunes, from Il Gallo d’Oro, awarded the “Sommelier Award”, which recognizes the best professional in this area;
- to Mr. Pedro Marques, from The Yeatman, awarded a special prize for “best restaurant service”.
In this first gala of the Michelin Guide exclusively dedicated to Portugal, it is a very positive sign for the sector that there are now distinctions for these new areas, fundamental for the recognition of professionals of excellence, who deserve to see all their commitment and dedication praised.
Many congratulations to everyone!
It is a privilege for us to have you as our clients.
