FN hotelaria participated in the 2025 edition of Hospitality Innovation Planet

We have just returned from HIP Madrid (Hospitality Innovation Planet – Horeca Professional Expo), an event focused on innovation in the hotel industry, which took place in Madrid, from March 10th to 12th.

From products, to ideas and strategies, companies in the accommodation and restaurant sector find here a wealth of options to enhance their businesses.

This edition of the fair brought together 50,000 professionals and 800 exhibitors who presented the latest innovations and solutions for the hotel industry. The “Hospitality 4.0” Congress, the largest innovation forum dedicated to the Horeca sector, gathered 700 highly prestigious and experienced international speakers, from CEOs, consultants and trainers to chefs, among many others.

FCSI EAME (Food Service Consultants Society International for the Europe, Africa and Middle East market) was present at the fair and, in its exhibition space, organized the “Smart Kitchen Summit”, to which it invited several speakers.

As an effective member of FCSI, the world's largest association of industrial kitchen consultants and designers, FN hotelaria was invited to be part of this initiative. João Abel de Freitas, FN hotelaria’s Hotel Equipment Business Unit Director, was part of the panel that discussed current opportunities and challenges in the hotel industry.

The most recent trends in different international markets were addressed, but the FCSI EAME initiative gave voice to other topics, such as:
- the future of the foodservice sector: inescapable trends and challenges;
- optimization and efficiency in restaurants: the pillars of profitability;
- change management in the hotel industry: anticipating change, mitigating risks and maximizing efficiency;
- redefining the future of gastronomy.
