In full operation since December 2020, the new infrastructure offers new features - such as the research laboratory, modern technical means and a significant improvement in operating conditions for professionals in the fisheries sector.

The renovation process now completed included:

• general renovation of the building, focusing on reception, treatment and packaging areas and on the definition of independent circuits;
• furnishing the infrastructure with state-of-the-art equipment;
• creation of operational conditions for the activity of shipowners, fishermen, buyers, among other players in the sector;
• creating conditions for guaranteeing food quality, hygiene and safety;
• providing better working conditions for employees.

FN hotelaria was the company responsible for the execution of the refrigeration facilities, which are equipped with a digital temperature record and control system. The cold storage area now allows a much greater conservation capacity, with well-defined areas and circuits in order to ensure the maximum quality of the stored fish. FN hotelaria was also responsible for the supply and installation of the weighing equipment, cleaning solutions, laboratory equipment and stainless steel equipment. These services were provided to our client Etermar - Engenharia e Construção, S.A., responsible for the construction.
