Kabuki Lisbon opened its doors in December 2021, in the renovated Galerias Ritz, next to the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon.
Belonging to the Kabuki Group, which owns several restaurants in Spain, this was the first of its restaurants to cross borders, in search of the Portuguese connection to the sea and fishing.
“A strong first impression sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.” This is the motto that Kabuki Lisbon presents us. The objective is to combine the best of Japanese cuisine with Portuguese products, specially fish and seafood, in a concept that combines tradition and fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine.
As for the space, the highlight is a vast show cooking where the simultaneous work of several chefs can be followed by the customer. The main room, capable of hosting 70 people, is on the lower floor. On the middle floor, we find the Kikubari bar, where snacks and cocktails are served. On the top floor, the private Kabuki Experience room can accommodate another 30 customers. "The three Kabuki Lisbon spaces were designed to provide a different experience, a gastronomic celebration with extreme attention to wine pairing", explained the Kabuki Group when opening the space.
The team led by chef Paulo Alves would win its first Michelin star in November 2022, even before completing a year of activity.
FN hotelaria's intervention in this restaurant included the supply and installation of equipment for kitchen, show cooking, bar and cold storage areas.
Particularly with regard to the preparation and cooking zones, it is worth highlighting the specificity of the equipment essential for this type of cuisine and the high level of requirements that Kabuki Group had to this project in Lisbon.
Therefore, it is a great pride for FN hotelaria to have this haute cuisine brand in its portfolio.
