Barceló Funchal Oldtown Hotel
Barceló brand’s first hotel unit on the island of Madeira opened in early April 2023. The Barceló Hotel Group is the second largest hotel group in Spain, one of the 30 largest in the world, with more than 270 hotels.
Barceló Funchal Oldtown is a five star hotel with a privileged location, right in the center of Funchal. It features modern decor in combination with architectural elements that preserve and honor the historic character of the building. This space, which once housed an embroidery factory, dates back to the 17th century.
In addition to the 111 rooms and 3 areas dedicated to events, the guest has at his disposal the lobby bar, the 'A Bordadeira' restaurant, dedicated to organic, seasonal and local food, the 'Noz' restaurant, which concept is “all day dining”, and the rooftop that offers a stunning view of Funchal’s port.
FN hotelaria is extremely proud to have been the company chosen by the Barceló group to equip this hotel, having been the company responsible for supplying and installing the hotel equipment for the kitchen areas (preparation, cooking and pantry), cold storage facilities, buffets and bars. The execution of the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) mechanical installations was also under our responsibility.
