Opened in 2015 in the Amoreiras Shopping Center restaurant area, in Lisbon, it was considered by many to be the direct descendant of the famous Porto de Santa Maria Restaurant, in Guincho.
Barbatana was a project of two great references in Portuguese gastronomy: Porto Santa Maria restaurant and Chef Miguel Laffan. Already closed, as an "atlantic fish bar", it was dedicated to fish and seafood and excelled in quality and respect for the ingredients.
Barbatana was divided into three distinct service areas - restaurant, food court and counter - with specific gastronomic offers for each of them. The kitchen (preparation and pantry) and bar equipment was supplied and installed by FN hotelaria.
